How to reach the IfT in Leipzig
The Leibniz Institute for Tropospheric Research is located at the Science Park Leipzig.
By road:
Leave motorway A14 at exit "Leipzig Nordost" and follow the direction to Leipzig in the "Torgauer Straße"
or leave motorway A14 at exit "Leipzig Ost" and follow the direction to Leipzig in the "Permoserstraße".
Please contact the gate-keeper to find the respective IfT building.
By plane:
Arriving on the Airport Leipzig-Halle, you may go by taxi directly to the institute (ca. 30€ ) or take the AirportExpress of German Railways, shuttels in a 30-minutes-cycle, to the Main Station of Leipzig ("3 zones ticket" - ca. 3.60€). By rail: From Leipzig Central Station, you may go by taxi directly to the institute (ca. 8€).
Or take No. 3 or 13 tram direction for "Paunsdorf-Nord", "Sommerfeld" or "Taucha" (the tram stop is in front of the Main Station, tickets available there - "Zone Leipzig" ticket ca. 2.00€). Leave the tram at the stop "Permoser/Torgauer Straße" (ca. 15 min, 7 stops). Cross the Torgauer Straße and walk along the Permoserstraße, after about 5 minutes you reach the main entrance of the Science Park on the left. Please contact the gate-keeper to find the respective IfT building.
