5 incredible insights from EarthCARE’s second year in space

The new Earth observation satellite developed by the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) is designed to study aerosols and clouds and their impact on radiation in the Earth’s atmosphere. Hard work on improving the products and updating the algorithms, but also great new insights in aerosol layers and clouds from space filled the last two years with EarthCARE.

ESA made a short story about 5 incredible insights from EarthCARE’s second year in space. 3 out of the 7 images shown in the article were created by TROPOS.

Here are five incredible insights from EarthCARE’s last 12 months circling the globe, told through some of the wonderful images shared by the Data, Innovation and Science Cluster (DISC) of ESA as they bring EarthCARE science to the world: earth.esa.int/eogateway/success-story/5-incredible-insights-from-earthcare-s-second-year-in-space
