SPIN2030 - Agenda for the science

With the SPIN2030 agenda, the Saxon State Ministry of Science, Culture and Tourism (SMWK) supports universities and research institutions in their strategic development in research and teaching in the Free State of Saxony until 2030.

At a launch event on 3 February 2023, Minister President Michael Kretschmer and Minister of State Sebastian Gemkow presented the agenda for Saxony as a science state.

The selected highlights included short talks by Prof. Christian Stegmann on the German Centre for Astrophysics (DZA), Prof. Maren Röger on the Leibniz Institute for the History and Culture of Eastern Europe (GWZO), Prof. Antonio Hurtado (TU Dresden) on hydrogen research and Prof. Miguel Mahecha (Leipzig University/UFZ) on climate change and the biodiversity crisis. TROPOS is also involved in the initiative he presented.

Afterwards, from 11:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Congress Hall at the Zoo in Leipzig, selected exhibitors from all over the Free State presented interesting scientific developments at a science fair - including TROPOS.
