  • Chemical compounds in the marine atmosphere, including carbohydrates, alkylamines and major inorganic ions
  • Ocean-atmosphere interactions
  • Development of analytical methods for marine aerosol, cloud water and seawater analysis (e.g., ion chromatography, electrodialysis)
  • Fieldwork planning and execution, including research cruises and atmospheric station campaigns

  • Transregio project:Arctic Amplification (AC3) phases I-III (2016-2028)
  • DFG: TransArctic (2025-2028)

  • 2023: ORIGAMY Campaign: Cape Verde Atmospheric Observatory (CVAO), Cape Verde
  • 2021/2022: BELUGA, tethered-balloon campaign, Ny Ålesund, Svalbard
  • 2019: PI-ICE Expedition, Southern Ocean and Antarctic Peninsula, aboard Spanish Research Vessel Hespérides
  • 2017: PASCAL/SiPCA Campaign, Arctic Ocean, aboard German Research Vessel Polarstern
